YMCA Specialty Programs

YMCA Character Education
The YMCA has developed programs to teach children skills of compassion, tolerance, decision-making, giving and leadership. Through these interactive programs, the YMCA Core Values of Acceptance, Caring, Health, Respect and Responsiblity are taught to children ages 2.5 to 12 years.

Grow In Spirit
This program educates children about the value of caring for others through helping and giving.  Through various props and activities, the program promotes and encourages positive attitudes and behaviours. The program reinforces the children's sense of self-worth, self-esteem and confidence. Program outcomes include building resiliency and developing assets by showing children that they are valued and able to positively impact those around them.

Home Alone
Home Alone is for children 10 and 11 years of age and helps to build your child's self confidence, a sense of responsibility, and decision making abilities through a fun and interactive environment. Start your child on the road to independence today!
